Win Sports Detergent Review and Giveaway

If you’re a fitness lover like me you probably sort your laundry 4 ways: Darks, Lights, Whites, and Tech.

There’s just something about my tech clothes that need their own pile. It may have something to do with the fact I teach now and over half my clothes are sports bras and leggings or maybe it’s because I’ve really invested in some quality gear so I want to make sure and take great care of them. Either way, my tech apparel gets preferential treatment!

I was super excited when I was given the opportunity to test out Win High Performance Sports Detergents. I mean, this stuff was made just for tech apparel - it’s like a special bubble bath just for my gear!

So why have special detergent for your tech apparel?

Well, the number one reason for me is that apparel that you sweat in often smells like sweat even after you wash it.

Sad, but true.

So, I set off to put Win’s 2 detergents (regular and green) to the test and these are my results:

Win Detergent (regular):

  • The scent is nice - not floral or masculine - but more of a fresh clean linen smell.
  • A little goes a long way. Just two small capfuls get one large laundry load clean.
  • Bottles are small which is perfect for me. I never liked the giant bottles that were hard to lift and store.

Win Detergent (green, fragrance-free, dye-free):

  • Safe and eco-friendly and meets EPA standards for green product
  • No scents or dyes and hypoallergenic (for those of us with sensitive skin)
  • Bottle is also small, yet 2 small capfuls get 1 large laundry load clean.

I washed 2 loads of tech gear in both the regular and green detergent and I have to say that I love them both! I typically can not use any detergent with scents or dyes as it irritates my skin, but I didn’t have a problem with either one. It’s been so long since I have smelled that clean scent on my clothes so it was very refreshing. What’s even better is that my clothes washed with the green Win detergent didn’t smell at all! Bye-bye sweat odors - there’s a new sheriff in town!

As far as cleaning goes - I am extremely pleased with Win.

There’s only one thing I hope they can improve in the future and that is the cap. I wish that the measuring cup on top could be the cap as well. There’s a separate screw cap for the bottle so once you use the measuring cap, you can’t put it back on top of the bottle because a) it doesn’t screw on and b) the leftover detergent would run down the bottle since there’s no lip to catch the liquid.

Other than that I am happy to say that my tech clothes will be swimming in a new bath from here on out. Win wins!
