Cherry Lime Smoothie

I’ve been having a craving for cherries lately and when I found a bag of organic dark sweet whole cherries in the frozen section at Whole Foods, I was ecstatic! I’ve also been craving lime lately so I thought I’d combine them and see what I could come up with.

Cherry Lime Smoothie - so refreshing first thing in the morning!

Cherry Lime Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cashew milk, unsweetened
  • 8 whole frozen cherries, organic
  • 1/2 banana, frozen (or not)
  • 1-2 limes, juiced + zest of 1 lime
  • 1 Tablespoon flaxseed oil
  • 2 Tablespoons chia seeds (optional Superfood)
  • vanilla protein powder (I used Orgain)

Directions: Add ingredients to blender (I used my Ninja Blender) in order listed above, mix together and enjoy!
