I am always on the lookout for gluten-free, non-GMO protein bars to share with you all because sometimes you just need good nutrition on-the-go!

So today I introduce Nutraplex Bars.

Born out of necessity for one, but healthy for all says founder, Brad Fowler.

He needed a healthy food choice for on-the-go that wasn’t full of refined sugars, wasn’t processed and was non-GMO & gluten-free. And because he couldn’t find just want he needed – he went out and made his own!

I love stories like this because it can relate to many of us that may have intolerances or other health-related problems and can’t find anything that fits the bill for our specific needs. 🙂

So – let’s get down to it. I received the Megaberry Bar and Pineapple Coconut Bar from Nutraplex to try out and I give them both 4 stars! ★★★★

PROS:

  • Gluten-Free
  • Non-GMO
  • Vegetarian
  • Kosher
  • Omega 3’s
  • Antioxidants
  • LOTS of fiber (8 GRAMS!)
  • Soy Free, Dairy Free
  • No Preservatives
  • Tastes AMAZING! The Pineapple Coconut bar kind of tastes like a Girl Scout Samoa and the Megaberry tastes like a fruit-filled fig newton.
  • You can see REAL fruit pieces in the bars!Fruit Pieces

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT:

  • My only real issue with these bars is that I wish they had more protein and less sugars. Even though the sugars are natural, coming from dates, honey and real fruit, 16-21 grams is a lot!

★ Overall, I really like these bars and I think they would be great to snack on in-between teaching group fitness classes in the AM (so I have all day to burn off the sugars). These bars have A LOT of pros going for them and I definitely plan on trying the other two flavors: Pomegranate Cherry and Mango Strawberry! ★

Have you tried any of the Nutraplex bars? Which one is your favorite? Leave a comment below!

Disclosure: I received 2 Nutraplex bars to review through my partnership with Tomoson. As always, all opinions are my own. Full PR & Disclosure here.
