Now that fall is here and the evenings have cooled down we’re spending a lot of nights on the deck, grilling out and enjoying the weather. From steak to lobster to good ol’ fashioned burgers and dogs, the grill never disappoints!

My little one requested desert on the grill so after much debate we decided on s’mores!

I didn’t have any kid friendly s’mores sticks so I decided to use the cast iron skillet and create a twist on the classic dessert.

To start, preheat the grill to 450°. Next, place your favorite chocolate chips all along the bottom of the skillet.

Warm up your favorite peanut butter until liquidy and drizzle all over chocolate chips.

Top with halved marshmallows and place on heated grill. Cook until tops of marshmallows are browned.

To serve, pass out some graham crackers and let the dipping begin. Apple slices are also a delicious treat too!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Skillet S’mores

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter, warmed in microwave until liquidy
  • 1/2 bag large marshmallows, halved
  • gluten-free graham crackers or apple slices

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill to 450°.
  2. Spread chocolate chips evenly over bottom of cast iron skillet.
  3. Drizzle warm peanut butter on top of chocolate.
  4. Top with halved marshmallows, making sure to cover all the chocolate & peanut butter.
  5. Heat until tops of marshmallows are browned.
  6. Serve with graham crackers or apple slices and enjoy!

Note: Don’t have a grill? Don’t worry! Just heat oven to 350° and bake until marshmallows are toasty!
