Just when I think life can’t get any sweeter, Quest Nutrition comes out with a new line of Hero protein bars that can double as dessert!

2 months ago I took you on a 30 day quest with an at-home workout and Quest’s new Beyond Cereal Protein Bars. Last month, we highlighted Quest’s chocolate chip protein bars in the perfect, guilt-free summer dessert. And today, I am going to introduce to you the newest addition to the Quest protein bar line….QUEST HERO PROTEIN BARS!

Quest Nutrition has just launched a new protein bar line called Quest Hero. The 3 flavors are:

• Vanilla Caramel
• Blueberry Cobbler
• Chocolate Caramel Pecan

Sounds like dessert right?! Well, they taste like it too!

As far as nutrition goes, they hold the same high standard as the rest of their bars…high in protein, high in fiber, low in net carbs. Protein ranges from 15-17 grams, Fiber is 10-11 grams and Net Carbs are only 4 grams! Sugar grams range between 12-13 grams. I would prefer under 10 grams, but for something that substitutes as a healthy candy bar, it’s really not bad at all.

The main sweetener is allulose. This is also the same sugar in the Beyond Cereal Bars line. Allulose is a rare sugar that tastes just like white sugar, but 100% of it passes through the body without being metabolized. It has less than 0.4 calories/gram and it doesn’t affect your body like ‘regular’ sugar. It’s found in nature in many kinds of fruits and it really gives these bars an authentic sweet taste.

As you can see on the blueberry cobbler Hero bar, there’s a really nice coating on the outside and the inside has a gooey center over a very satisfying protein core. (And I mean satisfying!! I wasn’t hungry for HOURS after eating it!).
