CrockPot Pork Roast with Apple Gravy

There’s a natural chemistry between pork and apples and this recipe highlights both!  Juicy tender pork covered in a sweet and chunky apple sauce makes this recipe a perfect 10!

Gluten-Free Pork Roast with Apple Gravy

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsps Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 pork roast (about 4 pounds), fat trimmed
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450°.  Mix garlic powder, salt and pepper in small bowl and rub mix over pork roast.  Place pork in roasting pan and roast for 15 minutes until top starts to brown.

Place apple wedges in bottom of Crockpot and place pork roast on top.  Mix apple juice and maple syrup and pour over pork and apples.  Cook on low for 7-8 hours (or until pork’s internal temperature is 155°).

When roast is done, transfer to a platter and shred with a fork.  Mash apples with a potato masher in CrockPot until it becomes a chunky gravy and spoon on top of pork.
