Muscles for May Pushup Challenge


This challenge is all about building up the muscles that help support you during a pushup.

If you’ve never done a pushup, this is the perfect way to start.

STEP 1: Place your hands on the counter and make sure your wrists are in line with your shoulders (not too wide and not too narrow).

STEP 2: Step back 1-2 feet (or however far you’re comfortable going back).

STEP 3: Come up on the balls of your feet and lower your body towards the counter. Make sure to keep your elbows in and your arms close to your rib cage. You will feel your triceps engage as you lower.

STEP 4: Slowly push back up and repeat.

Can’t do 10 pushups? THAT’S OK!

This challenge is meant to help you BUILD muscles, so do what you can and challenge yourself each day to do a little more.

Once you feel comfortable with the counter pushups, move to the floor. First on your knees and building up to a full pushup.
